The Bachelor's degree is registered by law as a State Degree in the National Directory of Professional Certification (RNCP Code 35924). It is certified level 6.

The Bachelor in Management specialisation Management of Hotel Activities aims to train managers of hotel and catering units, chains and independent structures by acquiring skills in management, techniques and hotel practices. Every year, students from both the hotel and management sectors, employees on individual training leave (CIF) and job seekers make up all of our promotions.

Objectives

The two major objectives of this license are to acquire a dual competence of manager and administrator. This training will allow students from hotel management schools to strengthen these two assets and those from other sectors to discover technical and practical hotel knowledge. The mix of prerequisite courses will allow mutual enrichment of students during the many group work to be carried out.

With regards to further studies, students holding the Bachelor's degree in Management specialisation Management of Hotel Activities can choose between the various master's degree in the field of management and property offered at the University of Lorraine, mainly at IAE Metz and IAE Nancy, as well as master's degrees offered by other Universities in France and Europe.

Organisation

Organisation and professionalisation

Conduct

Classes are held full-time from September to February. The courses are resolutely oriented, on the one hand, towards the acquisition of management theories and management as well as, on the other hand, towards efficiency and professional relevance. The courses are led by a mixed team, composed of teachers and professionals from the restaurant and hotel industry. Work on a tutored project is planned throughout the year. The internship (optional for employees) takes place from March to August (6 months) and allows to check the acquisition of answers adapted to the requirements of customers.
